About the ISE BluePrint Project Award
The BluePrint Project is part of the Institute for Social Enterprises educational program to enhance social entrepreneurship of organizations with a strong social justice mission.
The BluePrint Project award is given on a competitive basis to one registered non-profit organization per term.
The BluePrint Project Awardee will serve as the demonstration project during the “Management Skills for Social Entrepreneurs” course, where it receives special attention assisting its planning for sustainability and impact. .
The semester consists of lectures, workshops to apply the knowledge to the participants’ organizations, and ongoing evaluation of the BluePrint Project progress. The organization will benefit from receiving,
- Targeted attention to the growth of your organization by facilitators and class members.
- A final report analyzing the strengths and growth-points for your organization.
- $1000.00 grant to use for the needs of your organization.
Qualification Criteria
Applications will be reviewed by a panel of the Board of Directors and judged based on the criteria below:
- Clear statement of the social justice mission of the organization that engages a timely issue identified as one of the area’s pressing social and/or environmental problems. This mission seeks to disrupt an unsustainable and unjust status quo.
- Clear statement for specific needs to build a sound business model that is sustainable and scalable to increase impact.
- Clear commitment to building partnerships with the ISE network of experts and organizations and in the community that it serves.
- Committing to sustainable systems changes and policy-oriented long-term solutions.
- Securing and making the most of available resources.
- Measuring and sharing progress and results.
